No matter how efficient a line manager is, conflicts can arise in even the most harmonious of workplaces. Sometimes they can be triggered by the smallest and seemingly most trivial incidents, but often they can be the result of a slumbering dissatisfaction that has arisen gradually over time and suddenly threatens to snowball completely out of control. Whatever the source or reason, it is vital that line managers know how to identify the seeds of friction and be able to resolve conflict in the workplace calmly, fairly and decisively.
Our workshop:
Each attendee will be given individual attention and receive all the tools they need to resolve conflicts. In a supportive group environment, they will be encouraged to share their own experiences and learn from each other.
At the end of this workshop participants will:
-
Have a thorough understanding of how conflict originates and grows
-
Understand their own conflict style, how it impacts on others and how it can be managed
-
Understand how to structure and manage challenging conversations
-
Understand the principles and practice of listening in conflict
